who (or what) is Lucy Phermann (A.K.A. Nuclear Nymph)?

well, it's me. I am Lucy Phermann. And it's an anagram. It's also the name of the main character of a book i'm writing. Why did i choose it? what's the story behind it?

1.The name it's an anagram i created to evoke the words "lucifer man". If you look carefully, "nuclear nymph" is the same anagram.(For those who doesn't know what is an anagram, an anagram is "A word or phrase formed by reordering the letters of another word or phrase, such as satin to stain" Another interesting anagrams are

2. Why "Lucy" if you are male? Because:

a. I like the ambiguity of it. I'm very interested in the dychotomy of this world, and of myself. My personality is a paradox, and i always are walking from opposite to oppositte. Being in both sides of the balance. That's how i find my equilibrium.

b. I wanted to make a point about some things. the  roles we play in society, and how we become slaves from our own creations. Humans created words, it was not the other way. We can use our creations as we please. A name is just a word, and you give it the meaning you want. Besides, being a man or a woman is much more than having a name, wearing certain clothes and behaving in a certain way, at least that's my opinion. I liked this name 'cus it is.. open. It mutates. It can be anything it wants, no matter what is what you think it is. It's your perception, but it is only a part of what it is. Is it a man with a female name? Is it a man using the devil's name? Is it both things? or is it a totally different thing? That's for me to know it and for you to find out.

3.Why "lucifer"? are you a satanist or something? Well, the only vocation i've had in my life was the vocation to be a priest. It was not something that anybody taught me, but rather something that.. was born with me. But i think religions are obsolete institutions that cannot fulfill their functions nowadays. That's why i'm against religions. I don't like them, and i disagree with many of their.. morals.  Even though i have some common ideas with satanists, i don't think i would call myself a satanist (even tho some people think i am, in fact, some people really think i could be the antichrist, but hey. anybody can be that today, i'm a fucking god!), because there's a lot of other things that i stand for that has nothing to do with it. I chose the devilish name for different reasons:

a. The Devil means "the adversary, the accuser", and is the chief demon. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04764a.htm Now demon is "originally meant a divine being; it was occasionally applied to the higher gods and goddesses, but was more generally used to denote spiritual beings of a lower order coming between gods and men" http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04710a.htm. All of that fits very well when describing who is Lucy.

b. The original meaning of the word Lucifer "was the name given to the morning star (the star we now know by another Roman name, Venus). The morning star appears in the heavens just before dawn, heralding the rising sun. The name derives from the Latin term lucem ferre, bringer, or bearer, of light." http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04764a.htm . I found very ironic that what it's supposed to be "The Light Bringer" is seen as the King of Darkness. It says something about the way the world is perceived and how it "satanizes" things that are supposed to be "good"

c. Besides, i found a very interesting parallel between Lucifer's story and the greek myth of Prometheus. http://www.messagenet.com/myths/bios/promethe.html . Prometheus was a greek god who gave fire  to men, with him and humanity being punished as a consequence of that. Now, the tradition says (tho it's not too clear for some bible students) that the devil fooled Eve and Adam into eating the apple (that gave them the knowledge of good and evil). Now, the serpent in paradise says that they "will be like gods",  and Prometheus is punished because, by giving fire (light, knowledge) to men, they could be as great as gods. Now we have here a story. A god that doesn't want knowledge and other divine gift for mortals, because in the end it would only bring pain and misery to their lives. But we have another being who thinks different, who wants to give them knowledge to help them. He gave it to them and is punished. Now, there's an interesting thing. As Prometheus is seen as a hero and a martyr, Lucifer is seen as the worst enemy of all the creation. It's the same story, told in different ways, and people just take what they're taught and don't look beyond. so there's a question. is Lucifer so bad? or, is Prometheus so good?

Quién (o  que) es Lucy Phermann (A.K.A. "Nuclear Nymph" (Ninfa nuclear) )

Bien, soy yo. Soy Lucy Phermann. Y es un anagrama. Es también el nombre del personaje principal principal de un libro que escribo. ¿Por qué lo escogí? ¿Cual es la historia detrás de él?

1. el nombre es un anagrama que creé para aludir las palabras "Lucifer Man". Si  mira con cuidado, "Nuclear Nymph" es el mismo anagrama. 2. ¿Por qué "Lucy" si  es un hombre? Porque:

A. Me gusta la ambigüedad de ello. Estoy muy interesado muy en la dicotomía de este mundo, y de mí mismo. Mi personalidad es una paradoja, y yo siempre estoy caminando de opuesto a opuesto, situandome en ambos lados de la balanza. Así encuetro mi equilibrio.

B. Quise hacer un punto acerca de algunas cosas. los papeles que jugamos en la sociedad, y cómo llegamos a ser esclavos de nuestras propias creaciones. Los humanos crearon palabras, no fue al revés. Podemos utilizar nuestras creaciones como nos plazca. Un nombre es apenas una palabra, y uno le da el significado que quiere. Además, ser un hombre o una mujer es mucho más que tener un nombre, llevar cierta ropa y comportarse en una cierta manera, por lo menos esa es mi opinión.  Me gustó este nombre porque es.. abierto. Muta. Puede ser lo que quiera, sin importar que es lo que tú pienses que es. Es tu percepción, pero es sólo una parte de lo que es. ¿Es un hombre con nombre de mujer? ¿Es un hombre usando el nombre del diablo? ¿es ambas cosas? ¿O es una cosa totalmente diferente? Eso debo saberlo yo y tú debes descubrirlo.

3.¿Por qué "Lucifer"? eres un satanista o algo? Bien, la única vocación que he tenido en mi vida era la vocación de ser un sacerdote. No fue algo que alguien me inculcó, sino algo que.. nació conmigo. Pero pienso que las religiones son instituciones obsoletas que no pueden cumplir las funciones que originalmente ejercieron actualmente. Por eso estoy contra las religiones. No me gustan, y disiento de muchos de sus.. morales. Aunque tengo algunas ideas comunes con los satanistas, yo no pienso que yo me llamaría un satanista (aunque algunas personas piensen que lo soy, de hecho, algunas personas piensan realmente que podría ser el anticristo, pero oye. cualquiera puede ser eso hoy, yo soy un  dios, joder!), porque hay muchas otras cosas que me importan que no tienen nada que ver con ello. Escogí el nombre diabólico por razones diferentes:

a. El Diablo significa "el adversario, el acusador", y es el demonio principal. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04764a.htm Ahora demonio "significa originalmente
un ser divino es; fue aplicado ocasionalmente a los dioses y diosas más altos, pero más fue utilizado generalmente para denotar seres espirituales de una orden más baja que viene entre dioses y hombres" http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04710a.htm todo esto encaja muy bien al describir quien es Lucy.

B. El significado original de la palabra Lucifer "era el nombre dado a la estrella de la mañana (la estrella que nosotros ahora conocemos por otro nombre romano, Venus). La estrella de la mañana aparece en los cielos apenas antes de alba, anunciando el sol creciente. El nombre deriva del término latino ferre lucem  "el que trae, o el portador, de la luz." http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04764a.htm. Encontré muy irónico que lo que se supone ser "El Portador de la Luz" es visto como el Rey de la Oscuridad. Dice algo acerca de la manera que el mundo se percibe y cómo éste  "sataniza" cosas que se suponen ser "buenas"

C. Además, encontré un paralelo muy interesante entre el cuento de Lucifer y el mito griego de Prometeo. http://www.messagenet.com/myths/bios/promethe.html Prometheus era un dios griego que dio el fuego a hombres, con él y la humanidad siendo castigados como resultado de ello. Ahora, la tradición dice (aunque esto no está muy claro para algunos estudiantes de biblia) que el diablo engañó a Eva y a Adán para comer la manzana (que les dio el conocimiento de lo bueno y malo). Ahora, la serpiente en el paraíso dice que ellos "serán como dioses", y Prometeo es castigado porque, dando el fuego (la luz, el conocimiento) a los hombres, ellos podrían ser tan gran como dioses. Ahora tenemos aquí un cuento. Un dios que no quiere el conocimiento y otros dones divino para los mortales, porque en el fin sólo les traería dolor y la miseria a sus vidas. Pero tenemos otro ser que piensa diferente, que quiere darles conocimiento para ayudarlos. Se los dá y es castigado. Ahora, hay una cosa interesante.
Mientras Prometheo se ve como un héroe y un mártir, Lucifer es visto como el peor enemigo de toda la creación. Es el mismo cuento, dicho en maneras diferentes, pero las personas toman apenas lo que se les enseña y no miran más allá. entonces hay una pregunta. es Lucifer tan malo? o, Prometeo, es tan bueno?
